Keep it Simple!

When designing a website, take it page by page. More is not always better, the goals is to keep potential customers on your site as long as possible. The longer someone stays on your website the more likely they are to purchase your product.

The single most viewed area of your website will always be the upper left hand corner. Since most people around the globe read from left to right, top to bottom it stands to reason that your upper left corner will be the most viewed part of your website, or of a specific page.

A few simple things you should always include in your website are…

  1. Contact Us page, be it form or simple email client calling script. Must have it.
  2. Site Map. Google and Yahoo both love sitemaps, as it makes there crawl of your site faster.
  3. Meta Data. If you don’t have Meta Data on the pages of your website, you won’t get traffic.
